Featured Projects

I design learning experiences using the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model of instructional design and backward design. I draw from Robert Gagné’s 9 Events of Instruction and task-based teaching/learning to ensure long-lasting impact.

I use design thinking to develop learning materials or products (frame a question, gather inspiration, generate ideas, make ideas tangible, test to learn, share the story)that meet specific needs in the communities I work.

Below are featured projects that showcase some of the virtual learning experiences I have developed on multiple platforms.

Online Hmong Language Courses

These classes that cover reading/writing and speaking are a response to needs in the community for accessible and affordable Hmong language learning courses.

Student Learning Center Online Tutor Training

In August 2020 (at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic), as the new semester at CSU Chico started online, the Student Learning Center needed an effective online tutor training for more than 100 undergraduate tutors in various subjects.

Upward Bound Online Tutoring Program

This program was designed to move an in-person high school tutoring program completely online to be more cost-effective.
